New Magnus Manifold

Well I was sent a link to check out the new manifold, appears to be for an Evo, I wonder if they are coming out with one identical for the DSM. Also curious to find out how much power you can achieve from it with that design. Personally I think it looks kinda hidious for their quality.

Whats everyone else think of this?

Re: New Magnus Manifold

Its a total rip off of someone elses design. Its supposed to reduce the crappy cylinder to cylinder air distribution(due to the intake charges' inertia) from a side mounted inlet. Its essentially the same thing as having the inlet on the bottom, not the side.Anyway I think its an excellent design, some people don't take into consideration that air has mass and therefore inertia when they design SM intakes, they only use the helmholtz equations which are only part of whats going on.

Re: New Magnus Manifold

I wonder how many leaks are on the weld seams. When i received my new Magnus we found two pin holes on the welds. Apparently their QC isn't very good. Luckily we have a TIG welder and took care of it.

Re: New Magnus Manifold

Basically a copy of an HKS design from years ago. It's said to work very well.
