how to take out jug where the intercooler is for TSI models?

Im wondering how do i take this jug out... ive only found like 1 bolt for it... and the locations of the others would be nice... if i take this out... will i see any difference with air flow for my intake... since im not getting alot of cool air under the hood. and the fan loves to blow hot air right back into the engine and make it idle ruff.


or rather down the road... could i route my intake down that hole...?
