Door Speakers

My door speakers are going out. They have been out for awhile actually so I'm looking into getting them replaced. I like listening to music while I'm driving so I kind of need them. I don't need any super watts speakers, just some decent, better than the factory ones. Anyone recommend a type or brand I should get? I don't want to spend a whole lot on these speakers either. Anybody know if those generic brand speakers at walmart or target are okay or are they crap? Again, they're on the side of both driver and passenger side doors. I think their sizes are 6 1/2.

EDIT* Sorry, forgot to mention this is for a 96 Eclipse.

Re: Door Speakers

1G door speakers are either 5 1/4" or 6 3/4". I like Kenwood and Infiniti speakers. Crutchfields website is a great reference.

Definitely check out crutchfield, otherwise you can hit up a local ultimate electronics. For cheap 'better than factory' replacement, I'd go sony.

Re: Door Speakers

I fit 6.5 inch speakers in my 1G no problem. Don't know if the 2G is the same.

I had some "Wal-mart" Pioneers for a while. They sounded pretty good.
