To remain stock or not to remain stock
I believe I have enough money to now take my car to the next step, but I'm not sure if I want to. Everything is stock right now and the car is running good except for maybe the valve seals might leak a little. Anyways I have a big 16g compressorwheel housing and the wheel. So I would need to get it swaped into my 14b and get it balanced. Then I need to aquire everything else. Injectors, FPR,fuel pump,mbc,boost guage,and dsm link. maybe a bov and ic piping too. I should probably get a egt sensor/guage too right? Does this sound right?
What does everyone recomend for injector size and pump size? I want to add power but I still want the car to be economical. I would say I am going for 300hp, does that sound possible? I have all ported exhaust with stock o2 back and a testpipe. Only thing is the car is FWD.
Anyone think I should leave it stock and get a laptop instead?

If you're going with a 16G turbo get stock Evo 8-9 fuel injectors and an Evo 9 fuel pump. They will provide plenty of fuel and be pretty cheap!

Huh, maybe I can do this for a reasonable price. Anyone have 1g dsm link for sale? Does it matter if your car is fwd vs awd for dsm link or is it 1g and 2g only? Thats what is going to be the most expensive thing, I should be asking laptop or dsm link.
So I would be looking for a 780cc injector?

If you are running on a tight budget, then stick with the stock FPR and BOV, and leave out the EGT gauge. You could probably get away with the stock IC piping and SMIC for now, but would recommend looking into something better when you have the money to do so, like an upgraded SMIC and piping, or an FMIC setup.
As for pump/injectors, I'd take Hughes' advice if you aren't planning on going bigger then the 16G for awhile. Another cheap pump to consider is the stock 3SI fuel pump.
I definitely recommend DSMLink. I could also let you have my old DSMLink laptop for dirt cheap if you are real crunched for money. It's nothing fancy, but it's what I'd been using until I finally upgraded to something a little nicer.
As for 300hp on a 16G setup, I suppose that depends on what dyno, and what kind of fuel.

if you want it at the wheels, it better be on C16 or E85. Pump will be tough if not impossible on a tight budget.

Evo injectors are 560's and it should be very easy to find a set locally (Scheides just replaced his, I'm pulling mine out soon, and Zac is replacing his soon too). Also, for the Evo IX fuel pump, Zac (hellomynameis) has his for sale right now so just check the classifieds.

Rather than doing all that nonsense with your 16G pieces and stock 14B just buy a brand new 16G so you can bolt it right in with zero complications or issues. You will thank me in the end.

Yea, just buy a new real Mitsu Evo 3 16G. A 14B has a 6cm exhaust housing versus the 7cm housing usually found on 16Gs.

I have a ported housing 7cm gasket matched, 2g o2 and mani both ported as well. Is the exhaust turbine bigger on an evo 316g? I have a big 16g compressor wheel and compressor wheel housing and it isint to much trouble for me to take out the 14b, throw the b16g wheel, center plate, and spring plate and bushing on it, send it away for balancing and then put it back together and throw it in. I'm not on a tight budget but I am not intrested in emptying my bank account for parts, I am looking for affordable stuff.
Halon, I can use my stock FPR with bigger injectors and fuel pump? I thought you had to adjust the fuel pressure so your car doesn't run to lean or too rich?
Turbotalon1g, what could I realistically get for hp off pump gas with a b16g? Maybe I should go to e85? How big of injectors do I need to run e85 at minimum? Or do you just need dsmlink,FRP, and dual pumps? Can you still run normal pump gas on an e85 setup, change your settings with a laptop? I am guessing no because the injectors are to big for regular gas.

Your stock FPR will be fine for your goals, it will have no trouble supporting a Walbro 190 or Evo fuel pump.

Yes you can. You don't need to even consider upgrading it until maybe you go to a 255 pump. And even then, you can still get away with the stocker.
You really won't be adjust the fuel pressure at all, you'll use DSMLink for all your fuel adjustments.

If you're lucky. When I bought my car it has a 255 and stock FPr, but it was overrunning it and pushing fuel past the diaphram. Tried two others, and had the same issue so I just bought an Aeromotive adjustable FPR.

What pump would you rather have? Which is easier to install?
And when you guys replace your evo 560's you wanna sell a set to me?

I made 239.1hp on pump, 294hp on E85. 880s did the job for me.

For E85 with the 880s did you do a dual pump, or single warblo pump?
And I could get 880s and using dsm link tell them to flow less so they would appear to be 660's right?

I'd go with the Evo pump simply because its cheaper and its a factory OEM part so it will probably last longer than the aftermarket Walbro (this is just a guess).
I'll be listing my injectors for sale as soon as I remove them so watch the classifieds in case I forget to PM you!
