Need help with afc neo

Not sure about this but someone told me that you cant run the AFC neo on 1g dsm's, something about you need to send it in to get a different program or version? I dont know some on just told me that just wondering what you guys know about this?

Dont go that far man!!! Just give apex a call and you can send them your bunk neo and they will fix it for free. No questions asked. You do have to pay to ship it to them but they flash it with the new program and send it too you with a free apex t-shirt for the hassle. It works great once it has the flash done. It really is a sweet unit once its up to par.

It also depends on when the unit is made too. If its a older model with a serial # smaller than 13800 its got to get the flash. The serial # is on the back of the neo and looks like AFC4 UN06 13726.

Their phone (714)685-5700. Talk to the tech department and they will shoot U a email with instructions.

How do I know all this? I have been through it myself. Just trying to help out someone as frustrated as I was.

Well, I just got my neo back from apexi after sending it in last week. it sat on the shelf in the garage all winter as I thought I had hooked it up wrong or something. I must have read the manual and installation guide a hundred times but just couldnt get it to work right. I got sick of messing with it so I just took it out. Sure enough I was tipped off by an earlier thread that there was a problem with it. Thanks for the heads up-it was in like November when I saw the thread I think. I know, thats a long time from when I found out about it and did something. Im lazy and the car was parked anyway.

Anyway, I finnaly got around to calling Apexi and they got it all figured out now. I sent it in to them and they flashed it and its all good now. They were cool about it and had it done in a week.
