I am putting a set of Ceramix (brand is something like that, either way they are ceramic brake pads) from Bumper to Bumper on the rear of my car. Anyone have any experience with these pads or the similar?

By "operate at high temps" I assume you mean they can take a lot of heat w/o fading/falling apart?

uhh.. you spent all that money getting a brake kit and then you go buy some no name brand of brake pads?  I would have gotten some real nice pads like Porterfield or Metal masters..  Hope the work out ok...
The front gets the Baer pads. I was in a jam for time so i had to grab the best currently available. A lot of people like ceramic brake pads so I figured "what the hell".

I put the same ceramix pads on my fronts, and they squealed like hell at first so I had to buy the satan shim kit, and now its all good. Great braking, with no brake dust to speak of! Now I just wish they made them for the rears too!

Thats strange that they make rears for 1G's but not 2G's. I hope they work out "good enough" as Peter said. All I was really going for was an improvment over stock for the rear.

From what I've read is that ceramic pads suck for daily driving. In order for them to work better than normal pads they must be really hot. Mash on the gas when they're cold and they're no better or worse than organic pads.
