MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
I broke my cherry
Weighed it, half tank of gas and no spare/trunk stuff: 3485. 3700 w/ me in it. Pump gas, intake/exhaust/tune and probably a slightly slipping stock clutch (which is now toast).
More pics and video to come! Thanks Modern Automotive Performance and all the other sponsors for putting on a freaking AWESOME time and bringing out some big guns! There must have been 30+ evos, maybe more?

Fuck the car. I just remember beating NOS Brad by 3 feet, and Jesse Hewitt at the strip..I forget who else I raced. Seems grip was better the 2nd night over the first night, and I wasn't bogging my launches as badly

I don't even feel like posting mine. I can never drive at the track.
Now for the important numbers; weight. Full tank, still rocking the spare in the trunk, 3340 with me in it, 3220 without. Gotta love barebones GSRs.

3485 ain't too bad Scheides, wasn't Trevors around that much when it was weighed at your place on the mod day?

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
Best pass for me was 10.7 @ 140 on my sweet fuzion tires. Then my car broke which kinda sucks because I was going to turn the boost up a bit and try and get the record back for trap speed on a stock 6 bolt.
My car weighed 2805 without me in, which seems decent enough for a 2g. This was with my passenger seat and back seat and all important interior pannels in place.

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
Not very happy with our results. Best run was a 12.1. Number of problems including a not very experienced driver (me). Hopefully we can work these problems out and get some better time in the Evo. Weight on it with me was 3525, full tank with whatever was in the trunk.

Trevor on autoX:
98GSX (jim's old car), this thing is sweet!
Mark Leasure went sooo fast!
Nice honda ff turbo setup:
Evos evos evos everywhere! We had the main evo camp I think
Down, but still happy:
Weather was soooo nice sunday after it cleared up:
Ron@RS ran 11.05@121mph on a stock turbo!
The duel (bryce vs trevor):
Tuley's car (GOTGRIP) was in the 10's running insane power:
I have a bunch of video, I'll put them together and upload that later on!

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
I lined up with an X MR. Similar mods and map tuned, but he couldn't break out of the 14's. Nice guy, but I ran away from him on the track!
This one's for rosey:
GTR ran consistent 11.7-8's every pass. He did AutoX too, that thing sounded just amazing!

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
MR's launch control is terribad from a software stand point from what I have heard.
The highest powered X MR at over 500whp can't even crack 11.0's, lol.

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
Wow...really? I wasn't saying anything about the driver, i said they are having problems with the launch control and bogging off the line in the MR's because of the new tranny. What's your problem?
The LOL is because I think the MR's are a terrible choice for drag or making significant power on the X platform...

Neither the driver of that X MR or the GT-R can drive worth a shit They are both from St. Cloud, nice guys, but neither one can drive.

Re: MAP Proving Grounds 2010 - Pics and Timeslips thread!
Started with a 13.14 @ 104 on saturday. Ended up with a bunch of 12.6s @110 by Sunday
Even got a bracket win against a stretched turbo rocket.
I need a rider mod

Trevor is on the left and I am on the right. I think this is the fastest time Trevor went yesterday along with me!
