drivetrain clunk!

I did a 3rd gear pull on the highway on my way home from work today because some VW thought he was cool, and wanted to do a ricer flyby. So he passed me doing prbly about 90-100mph not long after passing me i passed him and blew the paint off his green piece. on decel i noticed some whine, but noticed more clunk at part throttle.... sounds like its coming from the the rear. Maybe the U-joints or the rear end somewhere? uuuhhhh its always something isn't it... dam DSM's!

Re: drivetrain clunk!

Does your car still have a 3-bolt? Could be the rear going out.

you might need to fill the drive shaft carrier bearings with silicone

Re: drivetrain clunk!

clunk is probably the carrier bearings. 3 bolts don't typically wear out anyway, the axles go snap when you launch.
