2G Clutch Pedal Pump Up

Is there any fix for this? And I'm not talking adjustment. I've spent well over 30 hours doing that. With the HKS twin disk clutch I'm using I'm in this limbo between pump up and the clutch not disengaging as much as it should (ie. it will go into gear but it's not as easy as it should be). I've pulled the tranny twice to swap out the HKS TOB with a mitsu and then shimmed the pivot ball to compensate (The HKS TOB is longer). I've also bled each part of the hydraulic system seperately with a Miti-Vac.

Currently I've got it to the point where I have a really slow pump up that I can relieve the pressure by prying up on the clutch with my foot for a second. It's annoying as hell though because the engagement point is constantly fluctuating.

Is it possible to swap to a different master cylinder or remove the check valve that's causing this? A different clutch would fix the problem but I went twin so it would be easier on the 7bolt block. I hate it when aftermarket parts don't work out.

Is the restrictor out of the slave and the accumulator removed from the system?

Yep, SS line replaced the accumulator. Did you have any problems with your twin disk?

Re: 2G Clutch Pedal Pump Up

All I know is that i started to get pedal pump up when i adjusted my clutch pedal rod. I adjusted the rod because I was having disengagement issues, my clutch fork was bending (didn't know at the time). It eventually snapped. Put a new fork in and all was well. Might be different with your twin disk setup though.

The restrictor is gone too? I haven't had any problems with my twin disc. I was concerned before installed it, that it might have engagment or adjustment problems, but it worked perfectly and I didn't have to do any of the tricks at all.

Re: 2G Clutch Pedal Pump Up

Yes, the restrictor is also gone. Have you heard of anyone modding or removing the releif valve in the master cylinder? I'm probably going to pull the thing and check it out. I wonder if any non-oem master cylinder wouldn't have it?

I suppose what I should do is just get a different clutch since that seems to be the root problem. The hydraulics just don't seem to have enough throw to disengage this clutch.
