Hell, I can pay a guy $10 to sandblast a vc. And it's not gunna take more than an hr's work to coat it using approx $5 worth of powder. That's pretty decent profit imo. lol that's how I price out stuff I powdercoat at least.

Honestly the profit is slim on this. The process is not just blast and coat here.
This is our process:
Take the valve cover, clean if needed
Put the cover in our chemical stripper to get off all the paint or coating
Pressure wash the cover
Blast the cover
Let the cover soak to get out all the blasting material left in little cracks
pressure wash it again
Hang the cover
Spray the cover with brake clean to insure its clean
Coat the cover
Bake cover
Then inspect the cover for defects and make sure its perfect
