Just because old people drive these cadillacs doesn't make them not cool! I love Devilles!
Tint will be the first thing I do to this.. And yes, I'm aware of the head gasket problems.. I've had a couple of these Devilles and I've come to find out that 2001 and older have the troubles.. 2002's and newer don't seem to have them that much. Plus the DTS has a completely different motor, it is the L37 Northstar V8 instead of the LD8 Northstar V8 that is in the Base and DHS package Devilles. The L37 has about 305hp where the LD8's have around 275. I've never come across a DTS that has head gasket problems as commonly as the Base/DHS Devilles.
The main reason they go out is because people don't let them warm up! I've seen people start em in dead of winter and just take off.. Stupid! Since I've had this one, I've let it run for at least 15 minutes before I take off in it. Better to be safe than sorry.
Plus I got this thing for a steal, I couldn't pass it up
twack - It's pretty quick.. For a heavier car, it gets up and goes. And the motor is so strong even with 197xxx miles on it! Doesn't hiccup or stutter or anything!
hanson - what kind of caddy do you drive?
